Hello, it’s Meghann here with you today! I started papercrafting with stamping and cardmaking, long before I ever created a scrapbook page, so stamping is one of my favorite techniques to use on my layouts, cards and pocket pages. Today I’d like to share an easy card that I created with the squares from the “Oh, No!” stamp set, an exclusive stamp that coordinates with the August exclusive kit.To create this layout, I started out with a purple, folded A2 card base, a piece of smooth white cardstock sized at 4” x 5-1/4”, the “hello” vellum speech bubble, “oh hello” and purple “happiness is” tag from the exclusive kit, a few different colors of ink, a sheet of stickers, and some small enamel embellishments that all coordinated with the August kit.To begin, I decided to stamp a border along the top and bottom of my piece of white cardstock. I inked up my solid square stamp with yellow ink and began the design at the center of the width of the paper, right along the bottom edge.I continued along the edge by stamping with the diagonal lines square in a coral ink.I then stamped the solid square again, in pink.I continued in this manner – solid, diagonal lines, solid, dots, solid; being sure that the same color was never next to each other, until the entire bottom edge of the card was stamped. I stamped the same pattern along the top edge of the white cardstock, changing up the colors from the bottom border. To the bottom left hand corner of the “oh, hello” card, I added a sticker that coordinated with the colors in my border and trimmed the excess off the edges. The small piece of the purple card was cut from the “happiness is” card, adhered to the back of the “oh, hello” card at an angle and adhered to the white cardstock with dimensional adhesive.Using a light amount of liquid adhesive, I adhered the “hello” vellum tag to the “oh, hello” card. To finish off the card, I added an additional coordinating arrow sticker to the top right corner and four different enamel dots and hearts. This colorful border is just one of the many things you can create with this fun, versatile stamp set.
