Happy Wednesday! Today, Rachel and Daniela are sharing two gorgeous cards with us. Rachel’s thank you card is colorful and full of patterns, yet she managed to keep it clean with the large journaling tag on top.
Rachel said: The colors and patterns from Sycamore Lane are my favourite! I cut up some 12×12 sheets to create the pattern on the card base. Next, I took a journaling card from the February kit and embellished it with some stamping and paper.
I stamped the circular image and punched it out , before adhering it over a label with foam tape. I stamped the ‘laugh/love/smile’ text on the bottom, and stamped it once more without re-inking to create the shadow effect. The journaling card is popped up on the card front with foam adhesive.
Supplies: Sycamore Lane Paper Collection Pack, Sycamore Lane Grateful stamp, Sycamore Lane Blank Labels, February 2015 Kit
Daniela played with heat embossing and watercolors to create this little work of art.
Daniela said: I stamped the numbers on watercolor paper with VersaMark and heat embossed with embossing powder. I used Faber-Castell Gelatos to add three different colors to the card. Add water to spread the color around.
The little flowers are stamped on white cardstock and cut out. I added a touch of different watercolor to the flowers for dimension. I used 3D Foam Adhesive for the flowers. The leaves and the little dots are hand painted with watercolor.
