Kit-Inspired Pockets with Michelle Flynn

Hi friends! It’s Michelle and I’m so happy to be back with you today sharing how I used the last bits of my March kit and add-ons for inspiration in my pocket pages to document a simple weekend at home! Documenting our life in pocket pages is so rewarding and I tend to document all the things, but not every pocket page needs a lot of product on it to bring those memories to life. I was recently in a moment of feeling uninspired and I knew I needed to break out my kit to help inspire me!

Supplies | March 2022 Kit, February 2022 Kit, Love You Paper Stack, Good Times Seals Stamp, Currently Stamp, Daily Tabs Stamp, Good Times Seals Metal Die

I pulled out two of the peach-colored pocket tags and decided to crop them down to 3 x 3 inches.  I was initially thinking about adhering them next to tiny photos on a 4 x 6 pocket tag, but as I started cropping them, I felt inspired to do an entire sheet of 3 x 3 inch pocket tags and photos from this particular ordinary weekend. I love mixing sizes in my 12 x 12 inch album, so it was another way to switch things up.

For my top row I used that pretty peach pocket tag and grabbed the Good Times Seals Stamp along with the coordinating Good Times Seals Metal Die. Once I felt good about the size, it looked super cute, but I still wanted to give it my own touch and it worked! I then used one of my favorite go to stamps: the Daily Tabs Stamp for a few added sentiments.

On the third row, I used the Love You Paper Stack to back the cropped “Weekend Highlights” tag from the February 2022 Kit. When I initially cropped this pocket tag into 3 x 3 inch I didn’t want to let that title go to waste, so I decided to adhere it between the days marked as Saturday and Sunday with my tiny stapler. It was a fun way to get something different out of my pocket tag.

For the bottom row peach tag I used the Currently Stamp to allow me to write additional sentiments from this weekend. I really love how just a few of the Elle’s Studio pocket tags, stamps and metal dies inspired me to document some basic life photos of this simple weekend, and just brought it to life simply and beautifully.

I hope the next time you are feeling uninspired you’ll get out your monthly kit and just start playing! Your pocket tags come as they are so beautifully, but allow them to inspire your creativity and they’ll bring those simple, ordinary beautiful days to life!
