Sincere Sentiments Week: Bold Sentiments with Emily Mydlowski

Welcome to day four of Sincere Sentiments Week here on the blog, where we are celebrating and sharing inspiration from our new Sincere Sentiments: Congrats! collection! Today, our second guest of the week is here to inspire us: Emily Mydlowski! We cannot wait for you to see what beautiful cards Emily created with our newest products, so check out her post below and don’t forget to “pin” your favorite designs from her gorgeous cards below for easy card creating!

Hi, crafty friends! It’s Emily Mydlowski and I am so excited to be here with you today sharing several cards using the awesome, new Sincere Sentiments Congrats! products. I lean towards clean and simple cards with big, bold sentiments, and I love that the Sincere Sentiments Congrats! stamps have SO many sentiment combinations with a variety of fonts & sizes. The celebratory and encouraging card designs you can create are endless—especially when you add in the cute hearts, stars and burst images. The bonus for me: all of the matching dies! It so nice to not only have a die cut for the main sentiment, but also the coordinating sentiments. This provides so much more flexibility when arranging your sentiments on a card front.

Once I get going on a card design idea, I usually end up creating in multiples, so today I’m sharing two sets of cards, the first a trio of “Congrats!” cards using a rainbow color palette with lots of stars!

On the “Congrats From All of Us” card, I stamped the burst images in rainbow order across the top of the card panel and added matching star puffy star stickers to the center of each burst for extra dimension. Then I stamped the cute outline stars in black ink to offset the boldness of the “Congrats from all of us” sentiment.

For the “Huge Congrats” card, I combined several star die cuts with a rainbow watercolored script sentiment, and of course had to sneak in those cute little stars in black ink for extra contrast.

The 4-Bar “You Did It, Congrats!” card uses the Sincere Sentiments: Congrats Add-On Stamp. Using ink cubes, I applied a rainbow of ink hues to the starburst image and stamped twice to create the full burst. I stamped additional stars to the ends of the starburst beams and stamped the sentiments directly over the center of the starburst. To finish the card with extra dimension, I added a few rainbow-colored puffy heart stickers using both the Cool, and Warm Tones to the center of the starburst.

I love a good and quick card design, and the big “Congratulations!” word from the Sincere Sentiments Congrats Stamp and coordinating sentiments makes it super simple to create fun, encouragement cards. This second set of cards that I created uses the “Congratulations!” sentiment for two different occasions, with a little twist of color and a coordinating sentiment. I created a punny anniversary card (when I saw this sentiment combination I could not stop laughing because it’s SO true) along with a Baby Boy Announcement card. For a little extra whimsy, I added Heart and Star Chipboard Stickers in both Cool and Warm with a fun patterned paper strip from the Love You Paper Stack.

I hope you enjoyed all my cards today using the Sincere Sentiments: Congrats! collection. I had such a great time creating with all the great products in this release and I know I’ll be reaching for this set ALL of the time! Thank you so much to Elle’s Studio for having me. Big paper hugs!
