Good Times Together with Melissa Mann

Hello! This is Melissa here with you today, sharing a new project I created using the Good Times Banner Stamp and Banners Metal Die! I wanted to find a unique way to use this fun stamp and die set and originally was going to create my own piece of customized back-ground paper. That idea morphed into the project you’ll see below.

Supplies | December 2021 Kit, White Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers, Gold Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack, Good Times Banner Stamp, Banners Metal Die

First, I stamped sentiments from the Good Times Banner Stamp, heat embossing some of the sentiments. Then, I used the Banners Metal Die to cut out the stamped words and phrases. I decided to create a block of background paper that repeated a variety of pattern papers from the Thankful Paper Stack and blocks of the die cut banners. It’s hard to see in the photos, but the gold, silver, and rose gold embossed banners really add some sparkle and shine!

Once I had created this block, I adhered it to the kraft card stock and stitched it all down with my sewing machine. I matted my square 4 x 4 inch black and white photo with a 4 x 6 inch and 3 x 4 inch journaling tag from the December 2021 Kit, along with a piece of vellum.

I placed my title below the photo using the White Parker Alphabet Cardstock Stickers and the Gold Puffy Alphabet Stickers. I stamped a few asterisks around my layout and sprinkled the Gold Puffy Heart and Star Stickers around.
I really loved the suble impact that the white banners had against the white cardstock. It added some lovely texture to my project!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a very merry week!
