Hiya Elle’s Studio peeps! It’s Suzanna here today—the day after kit release day! Have you had a chance to check out the September release? What are you most excited about? This has got to be my all-time favorite release—I love all things autumn and Halloween and this release is chock full of those themes with a rich color palette! Today I have a Halloween-themed layout to share with you highlighting the pocket tag from the kit itself combined with a few of the add ons.
Supplies | September 2021 Kit, September 2021 Labels, Gray Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers, Halloween Cardstock Stickers, Gray Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers, Autumn Puffy Hearts, Gold Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers, Home Sewn Stitches Acetate Stickers, Thankful Paper Stack
Combined with just three coordinating papers for the newly released Thankful Paper Stack, I used 6 of the pocket tags from the September Kit to layer color around my photos. Yup, you read that correctly, six pocket cards! The stitched card I cut in half and was able to use that twice, on the top and bottom.
In need of a defined border for the layout, I cut thin strips of the black and white stars patterned paper from the Thankful Paper Stack to outline the edges of the page. The spider web from the Halloween Cardstock Stickers is a perfect spooky element hanging in the corner.
If you are in a time crunch and want the look of sewing on your pages, but either don’t have a sewing machine or don’t want to take the time to do it, then you need to make sure you pick up the Home Sewn Stitches Acetate Stickers or Home Sewn Stitches Stamp! Seriously, I think I’ve used one or the other on all six of the layouts I have already created since the kit arrived at my door. I love stamping on my layouts, so the stamps are my personal preference, but I know that’s not everybody’s cup of tea. The acetate stickers are a perfect substitute for those who don’t want to invest in inks or blocks or are fearful of stamping on their pages. And look at how superbly those Autumn Puffy Hearts coordinate with the Gold Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and Gray Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers—perfect to sprinkle a little autumn on all your pages!
This little cluster is comprised of die cut labels from the September Kit, a pumpkin sticker from the Halloween Cardstock Stickers, a gold star from the Gold Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and a grey star from the Gray Cardstock Basic Shape Stickers. I could have used lots of those grey shapes through out the page as an accent color but felt that some constraint was necessary!

While I’ve limited my color palette here to aqua, orange and black to work with my Halloween theme, there are some amazingly rich colors in this month’s release. Be sure to look at yesterday’s blog post and check out all the amazing projects that the design team has created with the September kit and add-ons and you will see what I mean by how utterly amazing this release is! Keeps you going back to the store for more!
Thanks for stopping in today!
