Hello Elle’s Studio fans, it’s Nathalie back with you today to show you how I have used some of my May 2021 kit and add-on leftovers to create a new spread in my notebook.
Supplies | May 2021 Kit, May 2021 Labels, Jane Tile Alphabet Cardstock Stickers – Black, Black Typewriter Cardstock Alphabet Stickers, Puffy Banners and Border Stickers, Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers – Warm Tones
Since my goal was to show you how to “kill your kit” I decided to rely almost exclusively on my leftover tags from the May 2021 Kit for this project. They didn’t really work as-is for my design, so instead I cut them up. Can you guess how many tags I used?
I cut six tags! These are the different ways I used them:
- Color block accents next to my photos
- As layers under my photos
- Photo corners
- A mat for a photo
- Photo captions
- Date strip
- Title embellishment
To bring in texture and more details, I added a few matching puffy stickers from the Puffy Banners and Border Stickers and the Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Sticker packs along with a couple of die-cuts from the kit.
I love cutting my tags to use them outside of pockets and as you can imagine, the possibilities are endless when you think of them as paper scraps.
I will conclude with one last tip: for the sake of uniformity, select two or three colors for your project and cut only those portions from all your leftover tags!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope to have inspired you to try finishing up that May 2021 kit and add-ons before the June box shows up on your doorstep!
