It’s the final day of Stamp Week, and we have loved bringing you ideas and inspiration for how you can make the most of the Elle’s Studio stamps in your stash! For our final post, Marsha Farris is showing us the versatility of stamps—how you can use just a few to really create a WOW factor on the layout! Let’s see what fantastic project Marsha has created for us today, and be sure to share what YOU are creating along with us this week in our Elle’s Studio Facebook Group!
Hey, Elle’s Studio friends! This is Marsha, and I’m excited to be here today sharing a layout for Five on Friday, the stamp edition! I was challenged to create a project featuring five Elle’s Studio stamps along with the April 2021 Kit and add-ons. Elle’s Studio has so many amazing stamps, it was difficult to narrow it down to only five!
Supplies | April 2021 Kit, Smile Cardstock Die Cuts, Acetate Heart Stickers, Love This Smile Stamp, Parker Alphabet Stamp, Hugs and Kisses Stamp, Labels Stamp, Hazel Alphabet Stamp, Parker Alphabet Metal Die, Labels Metal Die
For my project, I created a traveler’s notebook layout documenting a recent spring break trip to visit my family in Florida. I began the spread by trimming two pieces of white cardstock to 5 ” x 8.25″ to fit in the album. I always use smooth, bright white cardstock when I am stamping on a project so that my images will be crisp and bold. I chose a label from the Labels Stamp and stamped it with a variety of ink colors to match my color scheme. This is one of the most versatile stamp sets—it could be used on any project! I cut out the labels using the Labels Metal Die and adhered them vertically on the page. Next, I did a bit more stamping with the Love This Smile Stamp and black ink. I trimmed around the stamped phrase “the story” and adhered it to one of the labels.
I stamped a label from the Hugs and Kisses Stamp and stamped the word “yay” with the Parker Alphabet Stamp, using the Parker Alphabet Metal Die to cut it out. To complete this side of the layout, I used asterisk and dot stamps from the Hazel Alphabet Stamp to add some stamping to the background. I love the pops of black paired with the colorful labels!
For the right side of the spread, I printed my photo and adhered it to a trimmed journaling tag from the April 2021 Kit. I used the Labels Metal Die to cut out a label shape from the tag and added my journaling to a stamped label. Then, I used the Hazel Alphabet Stamp to add the date onto another label. I embellished the layout simply using the mile Cardstock Die Cuts, Acetate Heart Stickers.
I hope you are inspired to play along with Five on Friday, the stamp edition! Just pull out your five favorite Elle’s Studio stamps and use them on your next layout, then share with us using the #EllesStudio hashtag on Instagram, or in our Elle’s Studio Facebook Group! We can’t wait to see what you create!
