Throwback Thursday with Sarah Lee

Hello, all you beautiful Elle’s Studio fans! It’s Sarah, and I’m super excited to be sharing my first post here as a part of the Elle’s design team.

Today, I’m thrilled to bring you something new in 2021: Throwback Thursday on the blog! What does that mean exactly? It means you go back to any past Design Team Inspiration blog post to help spark your creativity, and that’s exactly what I did. I went back to January 2020, and one of Katarina’s layout got my creative juices flowing:

Her gorgeous layout inspired me in more ways than one. First off, I loved the way she used stamps to help create a background, so I used that idea on my project too.

Supplies | January 2021 Kit, Love You Chipboard Stickers, Puffy Heart StickersXOXO 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Hugs and Kisses Stamp

I used the Hugs and Kisses Stamp and the Puffy Heart Stickers to get a similar background as seen on Katarina’s layout. I love how something as simple as stamps and stickers can create a beautiful, repetitive pattern for any page.

And because I love this stamp set so much, I wanted to incorporate it into my title somehow. I used the “This Is Love” stamp a couple of times to spruce up my project. I loved how it turned out! And it blends in so seamlessly with my journaling.

To add some dimension, color, and “pop” to my layout, I added some of the Love You Chipboard Stickers to this cute photo of my fur baby. Viola! Instant cuteness!

I also really liked the way Katarina added a stamped tab to her photo, so I decided to do it too! And yup, I used another fun stamp from the Hugs and Kisses stamp set to do it.

So, tell me – what do you think?! I love how a blog post from last year inspired me to create this layout of mine. Do you like the idea of using projects from past blog posts for inspiration? I know for sure I do. Anyway, if you want to create but don’t know where to start, let’s spark that creativity with a Throwback Thursday! If you do end up making something, please share with all of us over on our Facebook Group. We’d love to see how you used Throwback Thursday as inspiration!

Thanks for letting me share some of my work with all of you!
