Family Time in a Traveler’s Notebook with Katarina Prevendarova

Hi, Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Katarina here to share a little traveler’s notebook inspiration using the October Kit and add-ons!

Supplies | October 2020 Kit, Thankful Chipboard Label Stickers, Autumn Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers, Acetate Stars, Autumn Days 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Documented Stamp, Medium Jane Alphabet Stamp — Outline

This beautiful photo of my family came from a professional photoshoot back in 2017 when our son was 1 year old. It was taken on a sunny autumn day and went perfectly with the gorgeous October products. As a background I used the wood grain and grid paper from the Autumn Days Paper Stack. I added a stripe of the wood grain paper to the opposite side to make the spread more cohesive.

I embellished the photo with a bunch of die cuts from the October Kit and machine stitched over them to add some interest.

Every time I have no specific idea in mind for my TN layout I love to use stamps to create a bold title. Now let’s talk about the amazing new Medium Jane Alphabet Stamps! They are the perfect size for both layouts and TN spreads. Here I combined them with the Documented Stamp to create my title that dominates the right side of my spread. I wanted to keep it black, as I was planning to add a lot of colorful elements.

I layered the little puffy stars from the Autumn Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers and the Acetate Stars to create my own interesting embellishments.

I added a couple of Thankful Chipboard Label Stickers—one on each side. They are the perfect neutral embellishments that go practically with everything! As a finishing touch, I sprinkled the layout with dots and stars from the Autumn Tiny Shapes and Dots Puffy Stickers

I love how my traveler’s notebook spread turned out, and I hope it gave you some inspiration for you to enjoy creating with your October Kit and add-ons this week. Happy crafting, friends!
