A Four-Legged Traveler’s Notebook Spread with Stacie Watson

Welcome back to the blog today, where you’ll find new inspiration using our May 2020 kit and extras from design team member Stacie Watson! Stacie is using a traveler’s notebook to record one of her favorite family members—take a look to see how she cleverly used our new product to create it!

Hey hey, scrappy friends! It’s Stacie back today to share a new traveler’s notebook spread with you, created using the May 2020 kit and add-ons . I love that there are so many options that you can do with traveler’s notebooks. You can document the day to day or decide to do monthly spreads. You can document a trip or vacation. You could have a notebook for each person in your family, or my case our furry four legged family member! I’m still using a traveler’s notebook to document the first year with our newest puppy and I love being able to flip back through it to see how she has grown in just the few short months we’ve had her. The traveler’s notebook size is also a great way to help you use up your monthly kits and add-ons. Just take a look:

Supplies | May 2020 Kit, Icon Chipboard Stickers, Puffy Heart Stickers, Go See Do Acetate Die Cuts, Flourish 6 x 8.5 Paper Stack, Currently Icon Stamp

I started this traveler’s notebook spread knowing that I wanted to use circles in some way, I also wanted to use the dog paw stamp from the Currently Icon Stamp, and I wanted to use scrap pieces of paper that were laying on my desk. I chose a piece of patterned paper from the Flourish 6 x 8.5 Paper Stack and cut it down to size. I then punched four holes into it with a circle punch.

Once the holes were punched, I backed two of the holes with patterned paper from the Flourish Paper Stack and added the “here & now” acetate shape from the Go See Do Acetate Die Cuts set to the top circle. I then repeatedly stamped the dog paw stamp from the Currently Icon Stamp onto a piece of white cardstock before backing it behind one of the circles. To finish off the fourth hole, I once again used the circle punch on the “the best” journaling tag from the May Kit. After all of the circles were backed, I adhered it to the right side of the notebook.

On the left, I used the “all the details” journaling tag from the May Kit and printed my photo to size. On the top of the page, I used die cuts from the May Kit. I then stamped “life is good” using the Currently Icon Stamp. To finish off the spread, I added Icon Chipboard Stickers and Puffy Heart Stickers. I printed out my journaling and adhered it to fill in the blank spaces.

This spread came together quickly and I love how it turned out! I hope it inspires you and makes you want to use your goodies! Thanks for stopping by!
