Hello and Happy New Year! It’s Stacie here with you today and I’m so excited to be joining the Elle’s Studio design team and to be sharing my first project today! The January kit and add-ons were perfect for my first project. All of the love sentiments and hearts made it an easy decision for me to document the newest member of our family, Timber, who we got for Christmas. I decided on a traveler’s notebook to document her first year with us.

Since we are completely smitten with our new puppy, I knew that I wanted to add a lot of hearts to the spread. The You Are Loved Die Cuts, with all of the die cut heart shapes was the perfect jumping off point for this layout. I picked out several of the heart shapes and arranged them on the page then sewed them down. To do this, I first took the notebook apart so that I could easily put it through my sewing machine. It will remain apart until the notebook is finished, then I’ll bind it back together.
For the left side of the spread, I picked out a journaling tag from the January 2020 Kit then printed a picture of Timber to add to the tag before I began layering embellishments. I used the “This Happened” and “Adorable” January Labels, a few more die cuts from the January Kit and the “sweet heart” and “love love love” tag from the You Are Loved Die Cuts. To finish this side I added her name using the Pink Puffy Alphabet Stickers and a couple of hearts from the Little Moments Leatherette Stickers.
After completing the left side, the right side felt like it needed something else. I picked out the polka dot paper from the Love Is Paper Stack and cut off two strips to add to each side. I finished with two stickers from the I Adore You Stickers and a little bit of stamping using the Love You Lots Stamp.
