Even the smallest spring adventures, like a trip to the zoo, a walk in the park or a bike ride can be documented in such a lovely way using our March kit and extras. Design team member Ashley Laura is with us today to share just how perfectly you can put a traveler’s notebook spread together using our newest products, and record a fun memory, too!
Hey everyone! I’m so glad to be back using the beautiful March kit and extras! I am loving this month’s color scheme, and I had the perfect picture to match all of the amazing sentiments in this month’s kit. I created a quick traveler’s notebook page documenting a photo of my daughter at the zoo. This was one of the first spring days in Texas and we decided to get out of the house for an adventure!
Supplies | March 2019 Kit, March Labels, Tiny Everyday Label Stickers, Springtime 6 x 6 Paper Stack, The Details Stamp
I’m obsessed with The Details Stamp, so I decided to create a quick background using stamps from the set and different ink colors that complimented the color scheme for this month.
Before I cut-apart the March Labels, I stuck the full sheet into my typewriter so that I could type onto each section. Once I cut them apart, I offset them underneath my photo. I also added a couple of the March Kit die cuts around those labels.
The photo could have stood alone without any extra layering but I couldn’t wait to use the more of the Springtime 6 x 6 Paper Stack, so I decided to layer up some patterns behind my photo.
I’d love to see how you all create your own patterned paper! Grab your Elle’s Studio stamps and share your take on a background!
