Happiness Recorded with Candace Perkins

Hello Elle’s Studio friends! I am excited to be here sharing a fun new project created with the February kit and goodies this month. One of my goals this year is to tell more stories. There are so many details of this one beautiful life that we enjoy and I want to make sure that I remember them all. For today’s story, I wanted to document what makes my little Ryder happy right now, at age 5. Kids grow fast and their likes change just as fast so I wanted to make sure I recorded all the details!

Supplies | February 2019 Kit, Bright Die Cut Labels, Light Purple Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Black and White Polka Dot Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Rainbow AcrylicHappiness Acrylic

I started with a full 6″ x 8″ photo of my Ryder.  I love this photo and how it shows his personality.  It is the perfect photo to tell my little guy’s story.

For the right side of the spread I created a base of two 4″ x 6″ tags from the February 2019 Kit.  I loved the large acrylic shapes in the shop this month and thought they would be perfect to act as my title for the spread. I started by placing the Rainbow Acrylic on the 4″ x 6″ tag.  I added the Happiness Acrylic under the cloud, then placed the purple puffy alphabet stickers on the card to finish the title.  I love that the Light Purple Puffy Alphabet Stickers pull the little bit of purple from the rainbow and add a bit more balance to the spread.

The 4″ x 6″ journaling tag with all the fun blocks of color was the perfect match to the rainbow acrylic piece! I ran the tag through my typewriter to add my journaling & special memories. To pull a bit of the black and white from the photo, I used the Black and White Polka Dot Puffy Alphabet Stickers to number all the things that bring happiness to Ryder.

For the final touches on the spread and to bring the left and right side of the spread together I added a few die cut pieces to the lower left hand corner of the photo.  I used one of the Bright Die Cut Labels to add “Ryder” and his current age.  I adhered it all to the photo with a tiny attacher.  Another fun memory and story documented!  I know these are things that I will someday forget, so I am so glad that I took the time to record all these special memories.

There are little details that happen everyday that we think that we will remember, but we quickly forget, so be sure to document them! Have a beautiful day! Thanks for stopping by!
