When was the last time you documenting something profound about your own life? Today, design team member Andrea Gray is with us in her final blog post as a DT member, and she’s inspiring us to look at our year and document the goals or things that we want to change. Let’s take a look:
Hiya friends! I have to start out with a big thank you to Elle’s Studio for having me as part of the design team for the past two years! I have loved every project and every minute on this team and with so many talented creators. Making projects that YOU can take to your desk and execute has always been my goal and I hope I have done that for you. I am stepping away from the team to pursue some big dreams and this will be my last project for the blog, but don’t think I won’t still be creating with these goodies—hashtag Elle’s Studio for life!
So let’s get on with this pocket page, shall we? I am still pretty behind in my life album, so I grabbed some non-Christmas specific tags for this pocket page about guarding my time. Let’s dive in!
Supplies | December 2018 Kit, Document December 2018 Kit, Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers
I started out with this quote that I used to announce I was stopping the podcast I had started in the beginning of the year. It was a profound quote and I wanted to make a page all about this decision. The “YES” tab on the teal card was the perfect place for the square quote. Attaching the “note to self” die cut was a great addition and adds contrast to this card. And of course, the “CHECKLIST” card acted as a place where I could make some actual goals for myself regarding this topic!
My goal with pocket pages is always to find color balance among the cards. This little corner shot displays this practice perfectly. Light, dark, striped, patterned—all from the December 2018 Kit and all working together!
The boldest part of the page is this statement card. I used a label from the kit hanging from the top, with a die cut slipped underneath and Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers to make a title. I love combining different pieces like this to make titles!
Here’s how it all came together in the end, complete with a selfie and a fun collection of colors! Thanks again so much for supporting this team and this company over the years, we all love creating and are so glad you’re here!
Have a super crafty week!
We have loved having you on the team inspiring us for these past two years, Andrea, and we wish you all of the best for your plans ahead in 2019!
