Using Your October Kit Scraps with Neela Nalam

With November’s kit release just around the corner, we’re challenging you to kill your October kit! Not only will you feel a sense of accomplishment for using up your supplies, but you’ll have some awesome memories documented, too! Let’s take a look at how Neela Nalam used up her October kit and add-ons!

The October 2018 Kit and extras are pretty much my favorite! I love the colors and all of the fall patterns. For my first couple of projects, I used the products to document our trip to the pumpkin patch last year. I truly love how it turned out. Here is how both my projects look placed in my album:

Here are some of the products I was left with after making my first couple of projects:

I intentionally left the Halloween cards and add ons from the kit to make my Halloween project that would fit very well at the back of the pocket page with squares. My goal is to slowly start filling in all the blank sides of my pocket pages to give my albums a complete look.

Here is the project that I made with all of my scraps:

First,  I cut down my 3″ x 4″ and 4″ x 6″ tags into 3″ x 3″ squares to fit into my pocket page. I also printed the photo as a 6″ x 6″ so that I could cut it down into 4 squares. I also chose the black and white star paper from the Sweater Weather 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack.

I then embellished the tags and photos with wood veneer, die cuts from the kit, Autumn Shipping Tags and Autumn Fun Stickers. I had a few hexagons left from my previous project and decided to add one as a mat for the “trick-or-treat” sticker. It is a great way to tie the pages together.

I hope you got your October Kits and add ons because they are simply awesome to use when documenting your fall stories!
