Currently in Pockets with Jamie Leija

Documenting the “here and now” has really gained popularity in paper crafting, and our new Currently Stamp gives you all of the prompts to capture what life looks like right now. Jamie Leija used it to document her “currents” in a pocket page, with amazing results! Let’s take a look at what she created:

Hiya! It’s Jamie and boy do I love a good “currently” page. I love looking back in my scrapbooks and seeing these little snapshots of everyday life—things that might not have made it into my pages otherwise!

Supplies | April 2018 Kit, Everyday Goodness Stickers, Banner Stickers, Adventure Puffy Stickers, Currently Stamp

I created this double 6″ x 8″ pocket page using the April 2018 Kit, extras and Currently Stamp. I love that I’ll be able to use this set again and again!

The April Kit also featured a 3″ x 4″ journaling tag with the “Currently” design. I used it as the jumping off point, then embellished the page with the stamp set.

I didn’t have photos for all of the categories, so I covered up “eating” and “creating” with stickers and bits of journaling tag that I’d cut out. You’d never really know it except for a little bit of white peeking out!

I ended up adding more journaling than I originally thought. Although I didn’t have a photo for “thinking” or “feeling” I was able to capture those sentiments with some journaling.

And not fear, I intentionally stamped “feeling” upside down to add a bit more visual interest!

One of my go-tos when it comes to pocket pages is to adhere things on top of the page protector. In this photo, the “this was amazing” die cut from the April Kit, puffy hearts from the Adventure Puffy Stickers and star Everyday Goodness Sticker are all on top of the plastic. I like things in neat, tidy boxes but I also like to create continuity between them and putting things on top of the pockets helps me to do that!

Even though my photos told most of the story, I still had a few things to say about each one, so I grouped them together on one journaling tag and stamped the corresponding word (in the color I used for their label) directly onto the tag.

I’ll definitely turn to this stamp set again and again. It’s a must-have for capturing the little things in life!
