Journaling tags are perfect for not only telling your stories on your pages, but also for embellishing and adding that perfect mix of color and pattern to your layouts! Today, Allie Stewart is showing how she used the Family Fun Double-Sided Journaling Tags on a new layout, and we couldn’t love it any more! Let’s take a look.
Hello there! It’s Allie Stewart, and today I’m sharing a layout focusing on the awesome Double-Sided Journaling Tags from the Family Fun Collection! These tags are super versatile, and are great for titles, journaling, layers, and more!
Supplies | Family Fun Double-Sided Journaling Tags, Family Fun Bits and Pieces, Family Fun Acrylic Shapes, Family Fun Puffy Stickers, Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack, Family Fun 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection, Family Fun Stamp
I don’t typically use a 4″ x 6″ shape for anything but a layer, so I wanted to challenge myself. I started with the “Amazing Memories” tag. I knew that I wanted the full tag to show, so I played around with the other journaling tags until I had them arranged in a way that I liked. I cut two 4″ x 6″ pieces of scrap paper, and weaved 1/2″ strips of patterned paper on top of each one to create a cool woven design!
Once I had two woven 4″ x 6″ backgrounds, I arranged them on either side the journaling tags I chose. I added my photo and title, as well as a few hearts from the Family Fun Puffy Stickers. I finished by adding some plus sign stamps from the Family Fun Stamp and a banner created from the Family Fun Bits & Pieces!
I’m really happy with this layout! I enjoyed challenging myself to use the journaling tags as they are, and thinking outside of my typical design style. Thanks for joining me today!
