Patterned paper is typically what we begin with when we create a layout, and today DT member Nancy Damiano is illustrating how beautiful your layout can be when the Family Fun collection patterns are front and center on your layout design! Let’s take a look at what she created.

Hey there Elle’s Studio fans, it’s Nancy here today with a look at the Family Fun collection. This collection has a beautiful, bold palette with family themes that can be used for many different types of pages. My favorite part though, is the patterned paper. On this layout I used as many different ones as I could! Let’s get started with a bold patterned base of wide, colorful stripes from the 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection!
The center of the layout is a nice clean slate of white which allows the patterns to shine! The title word, “together,” from the Family Fun Puffy Stickers is layered across the photos and onto some of the patterned circles. This ties the design together.
The center of the layout is filled with patterned circles from the 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack punched to 2-1/2”, 1-3/4”, 1” and 1/4” sizes. Some of the circles are layered by cutting two different patterns and combining them in one circle. Two Family Fun Puffy Stickers with the sayings, “the best part,” and “there’s no place like home,” were also used to highlight these circles. The circles are scattered through the center, creating an eclectic look. The smallest 1/4” circles were embellished with tiny enamel dots, giving them weight and adding texture to the layout.
The journaling was printed onto white cardstock and adhered onto a die cut tag from the Family Fun Bits and Pieces, which was placed on a slight diagonal from the title and label sticker subtitle. This makes it look as if the words are cascading down the design.
This is a bold and colorful layout filled with delicious, colorful pattern! Try bits and pieces of the Family Fun patterned papers to tell your favorite stories!
