A “Sweet” Story with Guest Tracey Fox

Today we’re welcoming Tracey Fox back to the blog. After the amazing balloon inspired layout that she shared with us last week, we can’t wait to see what she has to share with us today—but it may leave you a bit hungry for something sweet! Let’s see what she created.

I’m super excited to be back to share another project I made with the versatile September 2017 Kit and extras! For this 12″ x 12″ layout, I combined various circular and arrow-shaped elements from the September Kit, along with the Foodie Stamp and Foodie Puffy Stickers to document the story of the Ms. Pac-Man cookies my husband made for our friends’ bridal shower.

Supplies | September 2017 Kit, Date Night Stamp, Wood Veneer Borders, Foodie Stamp, Foodie Puffy Stickers, Title Builder Stamp, Title Builder Alphabet Stamp, Live Laugh Love Washi Tape Stickers, Live Laugh Love 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection

To create this page, I used my favorite grid paper from the Live Laugh Love 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection as a background, and I created a band across the top of the layout with a 4″ x 6″ photo and some of the 3″ x 4″ tags from the kit. I just LOVE how the “Start Here” tag from the kit incorporated both a circle and an arrow, since I had already decided to repeat those shapes on the page, and I also enjoyed using all of the little spaces on the tag with the Foodie Puffy Stickers and stamped sentiments from the Foodie Stamp, Date Night Stamp, and Title Builder Alphabet Stamp that went with the theme of my story.

On the hearts 3″ x 4″ tag, I typed my journaling using a typewriter, and the “The Story” 4″ x 6″ tag made a perfect foundation for a page title, which I finished with stamps from the Title Builder Stamp and Title Builder Alphabet Stamp.

For the bottom of the page, I decided to have fun with the die cuts from the September 2017 Kit, Wood Veneer Borders, Foodie Puffy Stickers, and Foodie Stamp. I punched two of my photos and a few of the other 3″ x 4″ tags into circles and laid all of the items out on the page in a way that had a loose resemblance to a Pac-Man screen. I love how these circular and arrow-shaped elements create a video game feel against the grid design of the background paper. And that “nom nom nom” stamp couldn’t have been any more perfect!

Thanks for taking a look at how I used Elle’s Studio ingredients to document this sweet story on my cookie-themed layout! If you haven’t snagged a kit yet, make sure to grab the September 2017 Kit and the delicious Foodie products to document your own food adventures!
