Documenting Your Own Adventures with Candace Perkins

Are you going on an adventure this summer? Maybe you’re hopping on a plane, or going on a long road trip. Or, you’re planning a stay-cation to relax and unwind? Don’t forget to document yourself in those memories! Candace Perkins is with us today to share how she did just that using the Title Builder collection and Travelogue Journaling Tags! Let’s take a look.

Hello again friends! It’s Candace back with you to share a fun project using the new Title Builder collection. I adore this new collection! It is perfect to combine words and phrases to create titles with interest and impact.

Supplies | July Kit, Everyday Circle Stickers, Title Builder Acrylic, Title Builder Wood Veneer, Title Builder Alphabet Stamp, Vellum Sentiments, Live Laugh Love Wood Veneers, Travelogue Journaling Tags

For my two-page spread, I started with a photo enlargement on the left side at 6″ x 8″. I wanted the spread’s title to stand out against the photo so I made the photo black and white and mixed the Title Builder Acrylic and Title Builder Wood Veneer elements.

On the right side of the spread I used circles as the main design idea. I punched 3″ and 2″ circles out of various tags from the Travelogue Journaling Tags. To balance the colors in the circles I added a few other circle embellishments like stickers, wood veneer, vellum shapes and die cuts. To stick with the circle theme, I typed my journaling in Photoshop inside a 2″ circle. For a little more interest I to popped up various circles on the page with dimensional adhesive.

I love that my husband snapped this picture of me and that I decided to be brave enough to tell the story: my story. I need to be better at telling my stories, I know that someday my kids will want to see me in the pages of our family scrapbook.

Have a beautiful day & tell YOUR stories!
