An Everyday Layout + Process Video with Jen Chapin

How often do you document a typical day in your life? The mundane things that you do every day deserve to be recorded, too, and today Jen Chapin is showing us how beautiful your page can be with the April 2017 Kit and the Live Laugh Love collection, and she has a process video of its creation to share! Let’s take a look.

Hey everyone! It’s Jen, and I am here today to share a process video with you using the April 2017 Kit and some of the shop exclusives, as well as a few papers from the Live Laugh Love collection.

My design for this page was inspired by Ali Edwards – recently she created a layout that used 3″ x 8″ photos across the width of the page, which I thought it was really cool. I decided to print three 3″ x 6″ photos and use them for this page. I printed off a few pictures that I had taken this week and all of them had a spring feel. I spread them across the layout, also using some of the black and white heart paper from the Live Laugh Love collection.

I loved embellishing with the puffy heart stickers and acrylic words. Here’s a tip for text patterned paper – use your water color paints to highlight a few of the words. It’s an easy way to alter and customize your patterned paper to fit the layout.

The “notes from today” 4″ x 6″ journaling tag was perfect for documenting a typical day for our family this month, and I love having those everyday details recorded.

You can see my process for creating this page in the following video:

Thanks so much for watching, and I hope you have a great weekend!
