Hi everyone! It’s Jen Chapin back again with my second guest post of the month. Today I’m sharing two layouts and two process videos with you using the September kit and exclusives and some Sunny Days products from the shop.
Supplies used: September digital cut file, Sunny Days 6” x 6” paper stack, Sunny Days puffy stickers, Sunny Days wood veneers, Sunny Days acrylic, acrylic stars- autumn mix.
The first layout I created uses the September digital cut file, enlarged to fit an 8-1/2” x 11” layout. I cut it out of white cardstock, then carefully backed a few of the negative spaces with pieces from the Sunny Days 6” x 6” paper stack. After adhering the die-cut to my base cardstock, I added some machine stitching. The stitching serves two purposes – adding texture, as well as keeping the cut file attached.
I also thought it would be fun to use the wood veneer glasses from the Sunny Days collection! To color them black I simply used some black mist and let the piece dry before adhering it to the page. I embellished with the acrylic stars- autumn mix and Sunny Days puffy stickers.
Take a look at how easily this layout came together in my process video:
Supplies used: School Days mini collection, Sunny Days 12” x 12” paper collection, Sunny Days 6” x 6” paper stack, 12” x 12” Divided Circle digital cut file, Apple acrylic, Back to School acrylic, Everyday Labels puffy stickers- black.
The second layout I created uses the School Days mini collection along with the Sunny Days collection, which pair so perfectly together! I started by using the FREE 12” x 12” Divided Circle digital cut file from the shop to cut my background from the navy patterned paper in the Sunny Days 12” x 12” paper collection. After backing the negative spaces with more Sunny Days patterned paper, I stitched around the circle with my sewing machine.
This layout has lots of texture and dimension, as I used a lot of different materials for my embellishment, including the Apple and Back to School acrylic and Everyday Labels puffy stickers. After embellishing with some punched stars from the Sunny Days 6” x 6” paper stack and enamel dots, my layout was complete!

Thanks so much for having me this month – I had a blast working with the September exclusive kit and collections from the shop!
Hi everyone! My name is Jen Chapin and I am so happy to be guest designing at Elle’s Studio! Fun fact: my very first manufacturer design team was actually here! I have been scrapbooking for ten years, and throughout that time have worked in many different capacities within the industry. I am currently designing for Studio Calico and Citrus Twist Kits. I also teach classes at Big Picture Classes. I am a nurse by trade, and work full time at a hospital about 50 minutes from where we live. My husband and I have two kids, Keira (7) and Connor (4). I am also going back to school right now for my master’s degree in nursing, so life is pretty crazy! When I have spare time (haha) I like to scrapbook, try new recipes, listen to audiobooks, or watch scrapbooking videos on YouTube. I am excited to be here and look forward to bringing you some more projects later this month!
We are so honored to have Jen back on the blog with us, and just love what she created! Be sure to follow Jen’s on YouTube, Instagram, her gallery and blog. Her work is always spectacular. Thank you, Jen!
