Hi everyone! Michelle here, and I’ve recently caught the mini-album bug! As I was skimming through the journaling tags in May’s Kit, I thought that they would be just perfect to create a short and sweet album documenting my recent trip to visit family. Since I am still an album novice, using journaling tags as a foundation for one takes a lot of pressure away from creating one entirely from scratch. The 3×4 cards create a nice canvas while providing the structure I need to keep moving through the process of making the album.
Supplies: May 2016 Kit; May Digital Cut File, Acrylic “The Good Life“; Little Moments: Journaling Tags, Bits and Pieces, and 6×6 Paper Pack; Letter’s and Numbers Sticker Light Gray; and Puffy Stickers.
So far in my limited mini-album making experience, I have learned that I really like having elements peaking out from behind pages. With the cards being the album base, I reached for the Little Moments 6×6 Paper Pack to create a few pages that were sized larger than 3×4. I also used the paper to cut out a few tabs from May’s Cut Files with my Silhouette. As I was placing embellishments I made sure to offset some of them so that you could get a little peek at them before turning the page. My final touch was to add the acrylic “The Good Life” to the very front of the album, so that it laid on top of a journaling tag (also from the Little Moments Collection).
Here’s a look at the rest of the mini-album:
