Let’s give a warm welcome to our second guest designer for the month of April, Tracy XO, whose clean, graphic designs always have us looking twice! Let’s see what she created with the Little Moments collection:
Hey there! I’m Tracy and I’m excited to be guest designing this month for Elle’s Studio! Today I’ll be showing you a 9” x 12” traditional scrapbook layout I made using the Little Moments collection.
Because it’s just me and my dog, Sophie, all of my layouts are about the two of us. Only natural, right? If I had kids, I’d always be scrapbooking about them! I went with this photo my friend took of Sophie and I in the park and based my colour scheme around that.
I cut a 12” x 12” sheet of the Details patterned paper from the Little Moments 12” x 12” paper collection down to 9” x 12” (this is my go-to size for layouts.) After that, I cut a piece of white patterned paper down to layer on top of the Details leaf paper. I like layering everything first, and then when I’m happy with the placement I go back and glue all the bits down.
I absolutely loved the die cuts in the Little Moments bits and pieces, so I ended up using mostly those to embellish the layout. I stamped out the title using the Jonah alphabet stamp and grey ink. The first “O” in “woods” is actually the “Q” upside down! I love how the colors all flow together! I ended up using the “photo notes” stamp from the Little Moments stamp and white Today acrylic, an exclusive for April, to finish off the page. I’m so happy with how it turned out! Stay tuned! In a few weeks I’ll be back to share a pocket page spread that I made using the April exclusive kit!
My name is Tracy! I live in Vancouver, BC with my adorable little pup, Sophie. During the day I work as an administrative assistant, but by night, I’m a crafter. I’ve been scrapbooking for the last four years and I really enjoy it. When I’m not crafting, I’m probably drinking coffee and listening to music (or binge watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix). My two favourite places in the world are New York City and Disneyland. I started the Single Girl’s Scrapbook to show that even if you aren’t married or don’t have kids, you can document your life. All moments are special ones!
