Challenge: Using 3 x 4 tags on your layouts

Hey everyone, Jill here! Because they come in all colors and sizes, Elle’s Studio tags can easily find a home on any project. I’m a fan of the 3” x 4” tags, which can be used a variety of ways. One of my favorite ways to use them is to work them into the layers of a layout.

There are a total of six 3” x 4” tags on this page, layered over and under each other to create a fall palette of colors fit for a Halloween-themed page.

Among the tags are bits of patterned paper — a graph pattern (“Together” from the Thankful collection) painted red-orange, and a green pattern (“Celebrate” from the Joyful collection) to pick up the color of my daughter’s costume, and the Oct. from the exclusive October kit.

The layout initially began with an asymmetrical design, but I decided to establish a sense of balance by stamping the title up the right side of the page, using all three sets of the new Jordan alphabet stamps (in solid, outlines, and dots/stripes). I then stitched around the page to unify the layout.

What are your favorite uses for the 3” x 4” tags from Elle’s Studio? I’d love to see your projects! Be sure to share them in the Elle’s Studio gallery.
