DOCUMENTING VALENTINES DAY

Today I want to share a Valentine’s spread that I created for my daughter’s childhood album.

If you have a child in school I can probably guess what you have been doing this week.  Lots of Valentine’s and class parties!  It has been the same in our household this week— Valentine’s Day is so much fun!

I have been working on my daughter’s childhood album from last year and just this week I began to document her Valentine’s party.  I had saved a few special Valentine’s she received last year and put them in a grid page protector.   I think she will enjoy looking back at this page years from now and remembering friend’s names and the popular Valentine themes (hello “Frozen”).

I hand cut “Love” from the Love You More pattern paper collection.  I also added a few details and journaling about her day and her class party.   Because the colors of the Valentine’s were so “busy”, I made sure to add a lot of white space by including two pockets that contained only wood veneer pieces, and added some Kraft yardstick into the mix. IMG_9293
