Hello! It’s Jennifer Chapin, and today on the blog I am sharing a little stamping inspiration with you. Elle’s Studio has so many great stamps to choose from and I wanted to challenge myself to use them in a Project Life spread.
I gathered a few supplies – January’s exclusive kit + stamp set, and the Sycamore Lane stamp set as well as the calendar cards from Hello 2015.
One of my favorite ways to use stamps is to create a pattern on a 3×4 journaling card. I started by stamping once in blue ink, then creating a repetitive pattern with dark pink ink.
I love this technique! A homemade journaling card in no time flat that can be customized to fit your color theme.
I also used the star stamp from the Hello 2015 Stamp set to highlight the days of my spread on the 2015 calendar card.
I stamped the tag stamp from January’s exclusive set in black ink on white cardstock, then cut out and used as an embellishment with some stitching.
On this card from the January kit, I stamped each day on the calendar with numbers and shapes. Love the way it turned out!
I also wanted to share some stamp organization tips. When I am organizing my supplies – whether it is stamps, stickers, paper or journaling cards – for me if it is out of sight, it’s out of mind. I found this 6×8 3 ring binder at an office supply store and purchased clear page protectors as well. I can slide the larger Elle’s Studio stamp sets in these and they fit perfectly! For the smaller sets, I either add two to a pocket or use a 4×4 page protector with holes punched to fit the rings.
I love this method because I can quickly flip through and find the stamps I need to fit my project. I hope I’ve inspired you today to pull out those stamps and use them on a project!
