It’s that time of year! The kids are decked out with their new shoes, clothes, and of course a styling book bag. Meanwhile, the parents can be found doing cartwheels as the bus pulls away. (Okay, so maybe that last part isn’t totally accurate.) Who can do cartwheels in their 30s anyways? 😉
Our local schools started back this last week which has allowed me to finally get back to a bit of scrapbooking! It was only printing photos, and getting them organized into my albums, but with over 300 pictures from just the summer, THAT was  huge accomplishment!
It also means my oldest niece starts her first year of collage. Oye! If I’m having this hard of a time with thinking about her leaving, I hate to imagine what I’ll be like when our oldest leaves in just a short seven years!
I wanted to send her off with a little something; so I put together a container filled with snacks & gift cards.
I created this little mini tag album to hold the gift cards and where I later wrote her a little “we will miss you” letter.
The Back to School Cork Shapes provided the perfect touch!
The base layer was created with a large manilla tag, pieces from the August Tag Kit & topped with one of the cork pieces. ( I filled the top with journaling later)

Next, I used a wax baggie to hold the gift cards, added a tag & cork, and closed it up with some washi tape from my stash.
A smaller manilla tag was where I added more journaling. I used part of the packaging from the cork set, the cork stars, and another tag from the August kit.
The below tag had just the right words. Make every moment count … man, so so true!
I topped off the tag album with the adorable vellum tag included in the August kit & the cork apple.
I think she loved her gift and I always love how a homemade card or tag personalizes any gift!
