SKETCH THURSDAY

Today’s sketch was inspired by Yuki’s Coconut Ice Cream layout from last month’s gallery. sketch 07.17

This layout caught my eye because of the grid design AND fun background. Isn’t it cool?

DT members Patricia and Becki played along this week and as always, created these AMAZING layouts!

My idea started with the sketch, but then as I worked on my layout, I noticed it didn’t look like the sketch.  Even though it doesn’t have the four square grids, my layout is still inspired by the sketch.  I just put the “fun in the sun” wood veneer in between and then cut a piece of pattern paper to layer over more pattern paper for the sun flares.   -Patricia
