Today, we’re talking about what I like to call, “shooting from the hip” style photos.
It’s when the kids are running everywhere and you and your camera need to be moving quickly! It’s about capturing the moment, the movement, the excitement, and most of all; the story. It’s about letting go of the perfectly framed photo, because those are most often the photos that end up telling the story so well.
As you can see, we recently had a chance to go visit a few baby goats. This event was one of the moments where “shooting from the hip” came into play. Between the goats and three kids there was alot to try to capture. I love it!
For example in this photo, the kids (of the human sorts) were chasing the little goats all around and I love how this captures the goats creative escape.
It was a perfect afternoon.
By adding bits of purple I brought the focus towards Ella in her cute little Spring jacket. It’s a color I don’t find myself using often in my scrapbooks, but I think maybe that’s because it’s not a color that is typically prominent in collections. But, you know what, I am LOVING it! I’m hoping to see it pop up more and more. Thank you Pantone color of the year!
