Project Life

Today I am sharing December 16- December 22 in my 2013 Project Life album.
I am the first to admit that I love starting fresh in a new album, but I am equally inspired to finish strong.  If you are anything like me, the month of December flew by, and a few weeks were left unfinished.  Here are a few simple tips to finish 2013 strong!

1.  Minimal embellishments.   I really stuck with the basics in this spread… I kept it simple which, for me, means less time is involved.   I used journaling cards from the Noel Collection to keep the spread coordinated and holiday themed.

2.  Write directly on the photos.   You can save a lot of time (and products!) by journaling directly on the photos.  I use the American Crafts slick writer to write on my photo (there is minimal smearing on the photo surface with this pen).

3.  Back Pack Diving!   I love to dig through school papers to find art work or other special items.  For this week I included a snowman drawing and a gift tag from Jordan’s teacher.  These items are perfect for the 3×4 pockets.

4.  Photos.  Often when I am trying to “catch up” in my album I will use a photo to completely fill the 3×4 pocket.  In this spread I trimmed photos of both of my children and included it in the 3×4 spot.  A simple and quick way to fill these pockets.

I hope these tips inspire you to finish strong with your 2013 Project Life!
