Project Life

This week’s Project Life covers the week of October 14-20th.
This is the week my daughter Jordan had her tonsils taken out.   Although there were many other events from this week, the surgery was a huge focus.

I decided to enlarge an iPhone photo of her right after surgery (once she was feeling more herself) and included it on one whole photo pocket page.  I added her hospital bracelet, a badge by Basic Grey, and my title at the bottom of the page.

This image of her in a tiger hospital gown, with her teddy bear (in a surgery cap), and an orange popsicle, is what I will always remember from that day.  Don’t be afraid to enlarge candid iPhone photos to include in your album.

On the right side, I included an insert (Design I by Becky Higgins) that told the story of her surgery.
I used papers from the Serendipity and Saltwater collection, along with a Cameron circle tag and Penelope Lil’ Snippet.

On the backside of the pocket page, I included three instagram photos from the day of her surgery.  I loved how the photos progressed and showed how well she recovered the day of the surgery.

I used the Number It Stamp on kraft paper and punched it out with a 1″ circle punch.  I also included the time each photo was taken to show the progression of the day.
The right side of the page really shows the remainder of our week.  It was also fall break so I included fun activities my son enjoyed, a prescription tab, a lego packaging image (for Jordan after her surgery), a  very important football game, and how my husband and I spent most of our evenings while we were homebound watching two full seasons of “Homeland”.   I loved incorporating the October 2013 kit and seeing how pieces from the Cameron collection worked perfectly with it.
We want to feature your Project Life album!  During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery.  We will be posting Project Life spreads on our blog tomorrow!   If your spread is featured we will be sending you a $5 gift card to use in our store.   Good Luck!
