Project Life

This week’s Project Life covers the week of July 29- Aug 4th.

The majority of this week was spent in Michigan with family.  We take this trip every summer and it is certainly a highlight for everyone.

I used quite a mix of Elle’s Studio products for this week’s spread!  You will find bits and pieces from various monthly kits, pieces from Saltwater, Penelope, 2014, and even Noel!  Yes, there are quite a few items in Noel that will work year round.   (the “pure magic” tag, the black chalkboard paper, the blue label, and the blue stitched journal tag are from Noel).  Our new collections will be available in September.
I experimented with some lettering as well in this spread.  “Lettering” is popping up every where, and I wanted to use some of my small letter alphas against the chalk paper AND a photo.   In order to center the letters the trick was to start mid word, in the center of the page (so the first letter I placed was the “W” in “two”).   I then worked my way down, counting the letters in each word and centering accordingly.
When placing the lettering on the photo, I wanted the words to begin at the same place.  So I started by creating a straight line with the first letter of each word.  That way I could center the letters they way I wanted, without having to move too many letters.
Since it was a full week, I created an insert photos, journaling, and some packaging.
I love using the circle tags in the monthly kits as a tab for the insert.

We want to feature your Project Life album!  During the last week of each month we will be featuring a couple Project Life spreads that caught our eye in the Member Gallery.  We will be posting Project Life spreads on our blog tomorrow!   If your spread is featured we will be sending you a $5 gift card to use in our store.   Good Luck!
