Capture Life – July 22nd

Becoming an Angler – A Different Point of View
Let’s talk using angles to help us better tell our story through our photographs.
On a recent trip to our favorite fishing hole I set out to tell the story of our day. I wanted to remember every detail; from how the boys were constantly switching lures in hopes of getting a bite, to the way Ella always kisses the fish before she throws them back.
In this photo of my daughter I stood behind her chair in order to get the angle from above. I love the way it shows her tiny little hands reeling in her line, her new puppy shirt, and her favorite pink cowboy boots.

I took this photo from behind my boys as a way to remember how they spend so much time standing at the tailgate switching out lures and fixing broken line.

I then walked closer and literally held my camera above my oldest son to get the view of him working in his lure. I love the way a simple angle change like this tells the story  in a whole new way!

After catching a nice little bass, Ella set out to show her brothers. I knelt in the grass to get down to her level which allowed me to capture her holding on oh so tightly to her catch.

Now, let’s get those photos on a page and our memories recorded!

I used a mix of the Saltwater collection, a large amount of the tags included in the July Tag kit, and my favorite alphabet stamp set : Cameron
Be sure to snag up one of the last few July Tag Kits – these won’t be restocked once they are gone!
I hope you have been inspired to capture your life from a different angle!
Now go on … Get out and Capture Life!
