Today we have Melissa Mann here to share an incredible holiday mini book. Melissa was on our design team in 2011 and we are thrilled she is sharing her awesome talents with us for Celebrate December. I know you will be inspired!
Hey everyone! I am super excited and honored to be included in the holiday fun here at Elle’s Studio! I made a mini book to share with you all and hope you gain some ideas and inspiration from it. It chose some favorite pictures from last December and used them in my mini.
To create the mini book, I cut down chipboard to 4×6 inches. I took the Be Merry Number Cutouts and cut them down to 4×6 inches. I stitched them onto the front and back covers of my mini. I also layered a piece of vellum on top of the tags to tone it down just a tad.
On the front cover only, I left some space to drop in some glitter and wood veneer snowflakes in between the paper and vellum. I then carefully stitched up the spot that was left open.
I then used the same pattern for each page. The photo was placed on the left hand side and the 4×6 Elle’s Studio Be Merry Large Journaling Tags on the right hand side.
After completing all my pages, I used book rings to hold the book together. Then, the fun part started! I used lots of the new Elle’s studio holiday tags and some older and newer Christmas products to embellish my pages. I used tags to hold journaling and included page tabs on most of my chipboard pages. I love the look of having things peek out from the sides of the album!
Thanks so much for joining me on the Elle’s Studio blog today!
