Hi everyone, Lexi here!! When I was asked to play along with the Celebrate December and create tags, I was pumped. Not only do I need some fun tags for Christmas gifts, but I haven’t created tags in awhile and forgot how fun it can be to work on a smaller scale!
It’s always fun to mix different sizes, but by keeping them more unified streamlines the process a bit. The base of each tag is a shipping tag found at most office supply stores. I covered each tag with patterned paper and sewed around the edge. Not sewing would speed up the process, but I think the stitching helps finish off the tags.
Each tag is different. but all use piece from the Be Merry collection. as well as those awesome exclusive stamps.
Tags are always a great project to use little scraps of product on… a bit of vellum, snippet of ribbon, a sequin or two… I even found myself busting out the glittery embossing power. If there is ever a time for a little sparkle, December is it!
Thanks Elle’s Studio for inviting me to play this month! I hope this inspires you to want to create som tags to top off your gift giving. Those scrapbook friends in your life are sure to appreciate the effort 🙂
