Project Life

This week’s Project Life covers Week 17: the week of April 23-29.
This week I decided to do a little experimenting in the WHAT and WHERE of my journaling.  Specifically, WHAT I chose to journal about and WHERE I actually journaled.

I view my Project Life as a combination of photos, words, and momentos that together tell my family’s story any particular week of this year.  Each component is equally important and works together to tell our story.  The way you use the combination of words/photos/momentos is unlimited.  The wonderful thing about Project Life is that it offers the opportunity to simply state “what we did” or go beyond the basics and offer deeper thoughts and glimpses into your life.  (and you can switch it up from week to week).

This week, I experimented with my journaling.  For instance, the photo in the top right corner is an instax of my daughter in a red dress.  I journaled a bit about who got her this red dress and how this is her current favorite “dress up” dress.  I also wrote about her favorite dress up hairstyles and shoes.   In the bottom left corner I included a recipe of our favorite chocolate chip cookies.  Elle has the perfect journaling tag for recipes— it’s a fun and different thing to include in Project Life.
On the right page I experiment a bit with WHERE I journaled.  It’s fun to mix things up a bit.  I journaled in the white space of two photos along with directly on a part of a brochure from a night out.

Journaling is my favorite part of Project Life.  I have already looked back at Project Life spreads from months ago and remembered stories that have long been forgotten.
