I am a stay at home mom to two children; a son who is four and a daughter that is two. Before kids, I worked in logistics for retail companies.
I have lived in Arizona for the past nine years, but am a Texas girl at heart! My husband is from California, so we decided to live somewhere in between. I love southern cooking, baking and the outdoors. We have a vintage tiki trailer that we love to use to camp in on the weekends, or for week long ventures in the summer- to get out of the heat!
What is your current favorite color combo?
Pink and yellow.
What is your favorite scrapbooking supply?
I can’t do without journaling tags! I am really trying to learn more about the digital side of scrapbooking, but for now have taken the leap into the hybrid end. I love the flexibility that digital brings.
Why do you scrapbook and how did you get started?
I always kept ticket stubs, trinkets, and took lots of pictures throughout my childhood. There was always something in me that wanted to record events that were happening around me. I started to scrapbook in college, and got more serious when my children were born. I can distinctly remember going to a craft store in Waco, TX and really wanting to make something. I loved all the stamps and papers, but didn’t know quite what to do with it all! I have found crafting to be an outlet that pushes me creatively. I primarily do layouts, but also make many mini books and altered crafts… and cards, of course:)
Who inspires you?
I just love ripping out magazine and catalog pages. They give me tons of inspiration for color combinations, layouts, and themes. Travel and Leisure, Vogue, and Small magazine (online) are some favorites.
What is your favorite thing about scrapbooking?
Scrapbooking is really such a fun hobby. I enjoy the whole process. From taking the pictures to pulling the layout together- it gives me a sense of accomplishment every time I complete a project.
