Calendars for Christmas Presents!

We have the perfect, quick and easy, handmade Christmas calendar project for you this year! This project would work with either of our 5 x 5 or 3 x 3 calendars. We made ours with our 5 x 5 Vintage Calendar and 1 inch binder rings. For the cover we added some extra embellishments with a tag from our Vintage Holiday Cut Outs.
Supplies needed for this project:
12 photos (for 5 x 5 calendar you’ll need 5 x 7 photos, and for 3 x 3 you’ll need 3 x 5 or larger)
Elle’s Studio Calendar
2 pieces of patterned paper for the front and back cover (5 x 5 or 3 x 3)
Metal Rings or another kind of binding (we just added some to our shop!)
Ribbon (if you’d like to make it tie shut)
Extra embellishments
Hole puncher
Making the album is super simple! First you’ll want to trim your photos to fit. You’ll be gluing each photo on the back side of the month before. Example: For February’s photo you’ll glue it to the back of January. And for January’s photo you’ll glue it to the back of the front cover.
You can embellish the photos as much or as little as you’d like – we left ours blank to show that it will still look good 🙂
And, if you can, you could even color coordinate the photos with the month! Gives it an extra fun touch!

Once you have all your photos glued on, you’ll need to punch holes for the binder rings. Add the rings, embellish the cover and you’re done!

Now you have a simple but meaningful gift to give someone. Make it more meaningful by adding photos of events that the recipient was also at from the year before. You’ll be able to look back at those memories all year long!
We hope this project inspires you for a handmade Christmas or New Year present 🙂 We had a ton of fun creating it, it was super simple and came together so quick and easy! You could easily make three or four in an afternoon and have most of your family covered!

We’ll be featuring our Advent Calendar in the next couple of days! Can’t wait!!
Happy creating!
xo, Elle
