For this little card we used our free “thank you” download and our Martha Stewart Starburst Punch to create this one.
First I sprayed the piece of yellow paper with Studio Calico Mist (love that stuff!!) then added the transparency from Hambly (love that, too!). Then, I created a pattern with punched “thank yous” and scrap papers.
It was so much fun – I’m saving this special card for my grandparents 🙂

Now it’s time for some card inspiration with our paper tags! One of my favorite tags to create cards with is our Birthday Circles because they are the perfect size for creating any sized card and the sentiment is already done – just make the card, add the tag and ta da! 🙂

This little card was so fun to make – I used my scrap pieces to make little pennants that were layered behind the giraffe. But, before I glued them on, I sprayed some Studio Calico Mist on the paper to add a little extra fun!
Don’t forget: You can make tiny cards, too! Can you imagine this little sweet card sitting on top of someones present? So fun!!

I love making cards, it’s one of the best ways to use up all my scrap pieces. When I scrapbook I tend to save all my scraps… yes, even those tiny pieces! Pretty paper is so hard to throw away! I also find card making very relaxing and fun – plus, people LOVE to receive homemade cards and it’s one way I can share my hobby with them 🙂
Now for some fun tips! Use those punches!! Use the same punch over and over again to create a fun and cohesive look, like shown in the card above.
Border punches are perfect for cards – they create interesting layers that make it look like the card took you days to make 😉 Also, any of those chipboard pieces that you can’t use on your layouts, save them for your cards!
This card above and below features my favorite and most used technique with double sided cardstock! The coordinating of colors is already done when you use double sided cardstock. First, cut the shape you need, then cut that piece in half and flip half of it over! It looks like you’re using two pieces of different paper – but really, it was just one!
I used the sames technique with this card, but the base of the card was the actual double-sided cardstock! It even makes the inside of the card look fun:
