Project Life
This week’s Project Life covers the week of June 11-17.
This week I chose to highlight a variety of “everyday” occurrences, special things we did, and Father’s Day. I have noticed that some of my favorite weeks to look back on are the ones that have a balance of “what we did today” AND “what life is like right now”.
For instance, I have noticed this summer that our laundry is completely out of control at our house. A lot of it has to do with swimming: more towels, swimsuits, wet clothes, etc, so I included a photo of the current chaos in my laundry room!
I added a screen shot of a tweet I sent about teaching my son how to swim this week. I also added a photo of my son’s favorite breakfast right now– this could work for any week!
We took a day trip to a State Park on Father’s Day to meet up with my husband’s grandma and extended family. We took many family group shots so I included this in an insert. I used a We R Memory Keepers photo sleeve that had six 4×6 sleeves and cut it in half.
Whenever I have an insert I love to add a piece that overlaps the edge of the insert so that it doesn’t just blend in with the rest of the layout. For this week I chose a “Today” tab sticker from October Afternoon’s 9 to 5 word stickers.
I noticed in this week’s Project Life I used LOTS of Elle’s pennant and label tags. They are just perfect for adding a little bit of journaling on large photos. This week I mainly used the new Summer Lovin’ Pennants, Tiny Note Labels, and Tiny Life Labels.
Finally, on the final page I included a 12×12 enlargement of my husband on Father’s Day. There were so many things I could include for Father’s Day but I felt like this was perfect. I had the 12×12 printed by Mpix and added a Noted Large Journaling Tag at the bottom of the page.

Challenge
Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying your summer so far. We’re starting July right… and to get the fun started I’d like to challenge you to show me your tapes. You have and love ’em so why not get creative with them too? 😉
I created the background on my layout by using some Frecked Fawn washi tape I got from the shop.
I then layered some of the Summer Lovin’ tags (notice how the tape colors match the tags perfectly!)…
and embellished with more tags and other fun elements.

Project Life
This week’s Project Life covers the week of June 4- 10.
I challenged myself this week to focus on different number themes that were present during this particular week. I used various chipboard number pieces throughout the spread to highlight those numbers.
For instance, I highlighted that this week was my dad’s sixtieth birthday and that we had a three hour birthday dinner to celebrate. I also noted how many times I had to take my kids to the paint store, the fact we had our first splash pad visit of the summer, and that we all took a THREE hour nap that sunday (rare!).
It is fun to try something different and highlight parts of your week through numbers. A few other ways you could do this would be documenting time–what you do at certain times of the day. You could document the number of miles to and from work, how long you sleep at night, how many texts you receive in one day. These are just a few ideas, and the ideas are really endless. Numbers are a great way to offer a glimpse of your everyday life in Project Life!

We’ve got BIG news! We will be at SUMMER CHA!
We’ve got some HUGE news to share with you today – for the first time, we will be exhibiting at Summer CHA next month! I can hardly contain the excitement, I’ve been waiting for this day since we started selling our tags.
We will be releasing an everyday line, and our Halloween and Christmas lines, and some more stamps! Plus, we will have some show specials and fun things going on in our booth, so make sure you tell your LSS to stop on by and see what’s new! And, if you are going to the show, make sure you stop by our booth and say hello, too! We would love to meet you 🙂
It’s only a couple weeks away and I can hardly wait! Thank you SO much for all your support over the years – it’s been an amazing 5 years and we can’t wait for what’s to come!
