It’s Jenni Hufford with you here today to kick of Celebrate December with a mini album I made using Elle’s Studio Good Cheer Collection!
For the past six years my family has been visiting the same Christmas Tree Farm to pick out our Christmas Tree with very good friends. About a month ago I decided that the perfect gift for this friend would be to give her a mini album highlighting memories from our trip to the tree farm every year.
I used a 2×2 coin protector page as the cover page. I love using these square pocket pages in all my albums. I added bits and pieces of pattern paper, transparencies, flair buttons, chipboard, stamps. Just about everything! The Good Cheer Paper pack and the Good Cheer Cutouts have many items that easily fit in these 2×2 spaces.
Following the front and back of my coin protector page you will see an explanation of the story of our tree farm tradition. I also included a photo of both families. I was able to mix in many items from Elle’s Studio’s Noel Collection with the new Good Cheer Collection and loved how the mix of colors worked together.
Basically following the opening pages, each page highlights photos from that particular year. I used Elle’s Studio’s fabulous Number Stamp to highlight each year.
I also added a few extra items with in the album that I had collected over the years– the rope twine that’s used to tie our trees on top of our cars, Starbucks sleeves and cups, and the menu of the restaurant we always eat at after we get our trees. These extra items add so much nostalgia to the album!
It’s so fun to see how much the kids have grown and changed while flipping through each page.
I had many photos from our tree farm visit last year so I decided to add them into another 2×2 pocket pages with some bits and pieces.

I couldn’t get enough of the wood grain paper and 2×2 tree in the Good Cheer paper pack! The wood veneer words in the Good Cheer Wood Veneers were also perfect for a small element in these 2×2 pockets.
I added some empty spots and blank journaling cards so that my friend could fill out the next few pages from our tree farm tradition this year.
We were able to go to the tree farm yesterday and I gave my friend this early Christmas present. It truly means so much to give someone something handmade with memories and words!
