Hey, hey Elle’s Studio friends! It’s Stacie back with you today to share my latest project. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never met a stamp set that I didn’t like. I buy stamp sets ALL THE TIME! They are great to use no matter what type of project you like doing and can be used in a number of different ways. Let me show you how I used the Summer Fun Stamp on this layout:
Supplies | June 2020 Kit, Summer Stickers, Chipboard Star Stickers, Summer Wood Veneers, Summer Fun 6 x 8.5 Inch Paper Stack, Summer Fun Stamp
When I sat down to work on this layout, I knew that I wanted to use the round stamp from the Summer Fun Stamp, but I didn’t just want to stamp directly onto the page. So I decided to create a misted background. I started by punching out 3″ circles and using washi tape on the back, I taped them on the layout where I wanted the circles to go. Next, I used a teal spray mist and sprayed the layout making sure to cover all of the circles.
I laid that aside to dry and started on my stamped images. I punched five more circle pieces from watercolor paper and using black ink, I stamped the round stamp from the Summer Fun Stamp. My next step was to color in the image using watercolor pencils and a water brush. I love how these stamped images turned out!
After adhering the stamped circles to the layout, I went through my June 2020 kit and add-ons and added pieces from the June 2020 Kit die cuts, Summer Wood Veneers, Chipboard Star Stickers, and Summer Stickers to three of the empty circles. For the last empty circle, I went back to the Summer Fun Stamp and added the “photo of the day’ stamp. To finish off the layout, I printed out three square photos and backed them with the yellow sunburst paper from the Summer Fun Paper Stack.
I love this super simple layout focused on using the newest stamp in the shop: the Summer Fun Stamp. I hope this encourages you to use, try new things with your stamps, and have fun with them! Thank you for stopping by!
