Are you stuck in a rut when it comes to creating cards? Meghann Andrew is here to show us how she switched things up and created two “thank you” cards in a different style using our Thank You Stamp and Thank You Puffy Stickers.
When I sit down to create “thank you” cards, I typically make them feminine, with flowers, pink and red hues and small, feminine details. So, my ready-to-go card stash is filled with “thank you” greetings for my girlfriends, but not so much for my neighbor who helped us out with our house, or my dad, who gave us a night of babysitting so that we could have a kid-free date night.
I pulled out my Thank You Stamp and Thank You Puffy Stickers, along with the Family Fun collection and got to work to create some gender-neutral thank you cards that can be sent to anyone I need to show gratitude to.
Supplies | Thank You Stamp, Thank You Puffy Stickers, Twinkle Puffy Stickers, Hello Winter Chipboard, Family Fun Cutouts, Family Fun Bits and Pieces, Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack
The first card I created was inspired by the lovely, colorful pennants in the Family Fun Bits and Pieces.
I wanted to use these pennants to create a banner on my card, and decided that the “thanks” puffy sticker word would be perfect hanging from the banner, too. My sewing machine easily sewed through those letters. On the bottom banner, I also hung an orange label from the Family Fun Cutouts that I stamped “for being you” from the Thank You Stamp onto. I love that I can use the puffy stickers with the stamp so easily together to create the perfect sentiment.
My second card was inspired by circles!
I punched three circles of differing sizes from my 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of green paper from the Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack, then simply turned those pieces around to show the large grid pattern underneath. This became the perfect place to stamp my large “thank you” sentiment from the Thank You Stamp in dark blue ink. On the third, smallest circle, I added the “you are incredible” Thank You Puffy Sticker, then embellished with another circle from the Family Fun Bits and Pieces, Twinkle Puffy Stickers and pieces from the Hello Winter Chipboard.
I hope these creations will inspire you to try out a new card style today, using the awesome Thank You Stamp and Thank You Puffy Stickers to show your gratitude!
