We love our newest class, From Sketch to Finish Volume 3 so much that we asked our design team to use it to inspire their next project. Tessa Buys chose a grid-design sketch—one of thirty offered in the class— to inspire her fun and colorful layout, which we know you will love! Let’s take a look.
I love a great take on a grid, and that’s what drew me to this particular sketch.
Supplies | From Sketch to Finish Vol. 3 Class with Stamp, Family Fun Double-Sided Journaling Tags, Family Fun Bits and Pieces, Family Fun Acrylic, Family Fun Puffy Stickers, Family Fun 6″ x 6″ Paper Stack, Family Fun 12″ x 12″ Paper Collection
To make things extra colorful—which is easy to do with the Family Fun collection, I decided to use one of the four squares for my photo and to create patterned paper/embellishment blocks with the other three. I also left a vertical border on the left of my page. Otherwise, I stayed pretty true to the sketch!
The exclusive class stamp set made for a great title and awesome accents here and there. Here’s a helpful tip: To create that big arch, trace a large bowl or round platter from your kitchen. Old school, but really effective. If you haven’t purchased this class yet, I highly recommend it to jump-start your creative process!
Our newest class, From Sketch to Finish Volume 3 is available with or without the 6″ x 8″ exclusive stamp, but only while supplies last. Have you been inspired by our newest class? We’d love to see what you’ve created! Please share your layout on Instagram using the hashtag #EllesStudio so that we can see your work, have a chance to be featured here on our blog and win a $10 gift certificate to the shop!
