Welcome to day two of the Five Days of Love event! Today we have a beautiful pocket page layout created by Jamie Leija celebrating the love in her life. Maybe her graphic and colorful layout will inspire you to do the same!
Hiya, Jamie sharing with you today! I created a pocket page all on the topic of love, well my love at least!
To create the page, I chose a few recent photos of my boyfriend and I, and one from the first year we were dating. To make it more unified, I converted all but one of the photos to black and white. Then I just had fun with the January 2017 Exclusive Kit and the Love You Journaling Tags!

There are a few different elements that I try to incorporate in all of my projects: texture, dimension and contrast. Contrast is all over the place on this spread with the black and white photos. But the dimension and texture is more subtle.
On the red card, I added drops of white mist for more texture and to break up all that color. On the “Love You” multicolored tag from the Love You Journaling Tags, I added texture by stitching using white thread. It’s tone and tone and subtle.
For dimension, I adhered the red tag using dimensional adhesive. I also added the Always Acrylic Heart, which is a few millimeters thick. Lastly, I stamped directly onto the bottom photo using Staz-on Ink to amp up the graphic feel to the spread.
The color scheme ended up being really fun. I’m not sure that I’ve used red, purple, yellow and teal together before. It was a great twist on a traditional love/Valentine-esque color scheme. Also, I’m just mega pumped that Elle’s included purple in the last few product releases. I love it!
