Jenni’s put together a fun layout and step-by-step using products from our Summer Lovin’ line! Here’s how this layout came together:
To create this layout, I started with the aqua card stock found in the Here & Now Exclusive Kit. I splattered the card stock with Mr Huey Calico white mist using the bottle tube and dripping it over the page.
I then created three different sections of layered tags on the card stock.
I then began to add small photos in the layered portions created. I kept the top tag empty for my journaling. (the top tag is a large Summer Lovin’ 4×6 journaling tag cut in half)
I used the Crate Paper Tomorrow pattern paper as a layering piece beneath my tags. I also hand cut the polaroid print out of Studio Calico Numerical paper to use for my photos (both of these pattern papers are found in the Here & Now kit). I trimmed my wallet sized photos to fit into each polaroid spot. I added strips of Hambly overlay under neath my wallet photo of my family, and bits of washi tape here and there.
Now is when I begin to “build” each of the three sections with more layers. I keep adding until i feel it looks right. Here are close ups of each section:
The title and three small photos:
Once I mounted the photos onto the Polaroids, I added my title work with the Pink Paislee Wood Chip alphas (found in our Love Story kit). I tied a small piece of bakers twine round the last letter. The small black alphas are by Basic Grey and can be found in our shop. I also added a Summer Lovin’ tidbit to the side of the journaling tag. I always add staples as the last finishing touch!
The family photo:
I layered this piece by cutting the chevron shape out the the My Minds Eye paper in the Here and Now kit and layering it with tags from the Summer Lovin’ Note Tags. I added a Studio Calico badge, wooden embellishment, and staples!
Journaling Spot:
I kept this fairly simple but just including my journaling, and adding a Summer Lovin’ Tidbit, washi, and small alpha stickers for the date.
Finishing Touches:
Once completed I added three chipboard butterflies made by Studio Calico to off-set the three sections of photos and layering. I also added some black mist (dripped).
