We have so enjoyed having Andrea Gray as the Elle’s Studio guest designer this month. Her fun, bright style just makes us want to create something! She’s already shared a pocket page spread and a traditional scrapbook layout, and today, she’s sharing her final project with us: a super-useful planner spread that shows you just how versatile ES exclusive kits and collections can be!
Hi again friends, it’s Andrea here for the final time this month! For my last project I would like to share my planner! I love mixing pockets pages into my planner, so the 3” x 4” tags from the August exclusive kit were perfect for creating a quick and easy dashboard! I plan to use a dry erase marker and write directly on top of the to-do list pocket, so I can use it over and over again!
Next, I went directly to my monthly planner pages. I decided on a few colors I wanted to work with and pulled labels from the Sunny Days word labels, small blank labels and small embellishments from the Sunny Days bits and pieces pack along with the Notes from Today and Work Hard stamp sets, inks, washi and alphas.
The first step was to add the day numbers. I decided to use the small circle stamp from the Notes from Today stamp to add some color around the number. In addition, I used a different color for August than I did for September so that visually I could see where one month ended and the other began.
Decorating is the best part! I used a Sunny Days word label and teal letter and number stickers for the month and a small tag under it. Then for the individual days, I wrote directly onto the planner page or onto a tiny tag, which I adhered to the page. This adds dimension and interest, but for me, it helps for certain things to visually stand out above everything else.
I also used some of the open space to throw in a few additional embellishments.
Once I had everything penned, glued and labelled, I was ready to head into August and September with a visual of everything that’s happening – and it’s pretty to look at!

Hi & hello from Northern California! You might know me around the crafty world as retrohipmama and I am super stoked to be a guest designer this month! Outside of scrapbooking I love to do different crafty things, jump on the trampoline with my two boys, scroll Instagram (I’m always there so follow me @retrohipmama), eat dark chocolate, have conversations with my husband in movie quotes or song lyrics and watch football. I am currently on the Illustrated Faith and Gossamer Blue design teams and love inspiring others to make stuff! My style has definitely evolved over the almost 20 years I have been memory keeping, but my layouts always come out clean and colorful and full of stories. This summer I am teaching myself piano and going on a lot of different crafty adventures!
Be sure to follow Andrea at her blog, on Facebook, and YouTube. Thank you, Andrea, for sharing your gorgeous projects with us!
