One Product, Three Ways: Cork Tags

Our new Cork Tags are large enough to be used as an element that stands out on all kinds of projects! Today we have Allie, Maggie, and Nancy sharing how they each used the Cork Tags on their projects! Let’s take a look at what they created.

Allie Stewart | I wanted to create an anchor for my page, and the Cork Tags were perfect for this. I used the July cut file to cut tags from patterned paper in the same size as the cork. I layered them at slight angles on the left edge of my page to create a focal border. I used paint, gelatos, and a stencil to create a coordinating background, and added my paper and embellishments. I finished off the page with the Live Laugh Love Puffy Stickers, July labels, and Puffy Star Stickers!

My favorite part of the page is the “Hello” stamped on the Summer Cork Tag with the Title Builder Stamp. The cork is a perfect surface for stamping, and it takes ink beautifully.

Maggie Massey | These Cork Tags are so fun! I just love embellishments that feature the negative of a design – I think it creates the perfect opportunity to customize with different backgrounds and that’s just what I did with these pocket filler tags.

To create the “LOVE” tag, I laid down one of the washi stickers from the Live Laugh Love Collection on a tag from the July 2017 Kit, trimmed down the cork tag a bit, and simply adhered the tag over the washi. A few more little embellishments and a quick stamp from the Love this Life Stamp and this 3 x 4 inch tag was done!

The “SUMMER” tag was completed in pretty much the same way, but instead of washi tape, I adhered one of the die cut banner strips from the July Kit behind my cork tag.

And finally, to create the “TODAY” tag, I cut the word “life” from a 3×4 inch tag in the July Kit and adhered that to the larger 4×6 tag that was also found in the July Kit. Then I trimmed down the cork tags and placed that on top, along with a few other embellishments from the July Kit and Love this Life Stamp.

Nancy Damiano | This is a clean and simple design with an interesting twist. I began with a white card base, bordered with a beautiful strip of paper from the 6×6 Live Laugh Love paper pad. Next, a white rectangle was cut to the size of the cork tag. The word “today” was traced on that sheet of cardstock as a placement guide for the enamel dots. A variety of enamel dots in different sizes and shades were used to create a pebbled look. Next, I glued down the cork tag over the white cardstock with the enamel dots peeking through perfectly. To finish off the card, I used the simple stamped sentiment “more of this” just under the tag and a blue die cut from the July 2017 Kit. This was a fun and simple card to create!
